Did You File for a Tax Extension in 2024 for Tax Year 2023? Submit Your Tax Return Soon

For many Americans, tax season ended on April 15, 2024. However, if you were unable to file before that date, you may have filed an extension. More time to file can be a great opportunity for individuals and businesses across the country. At Fisher, P.A., we automatically file complimentary tax extensions for all clients. It is important to remember that filing an extension gives you more time to file but does not grant you more time to pay your taxes. If you typically owe or expect to owe for the year, we highly encourage you to reach out and schedule a tax planning meeting with a CPA, who can provide you estimated payment vouchers and help reduce interest charges you may incur.

We’re getting close to the deadlines for filing a tax return in 2024 for tax year 2023—even with an extension. Keep an eye on upcoming deadlines and be sure to submit your tax documents to a trusted accountant as soon as possible, in order to file on time.

2024 Tax Extension Deadlines for Tax Year 2023

Filing for an extension with the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) gives you additional months to complete your individual or business tax return.
